I've provided instructions in that thread for a clean reinstall of Norton Security Premium v22.15.3.20 (the current legacy version for Win XP/Vista that includes Norton Backup) using a full 131 MB standalone installer but we haven't heard back yet if a clean reinstall fixed the problem. If none of the previous suggestions have helped you might want to monitor Richard Rau's 1 thread Trial Subscription Expired that describes a similar issue on a Win XP SP3 machine. The Norton Security on my other laptop with XP works fine. When I go to activate it, it logs in and says it is installed, it's the latest version and everything is fine, but when you open Norton Security it still says Trial Version and the Firewall is still not on. I have used Norton Remove and Reinstall, Norton Autofix - Repair result - Internet Connectivity - failed. I have a licence for 5 devices ( 1 on Win10, 2 on XP Laptops, 2 on Mobiles ). Your Trial Version has expired ( I do not have a Trial Version).
